Traditional Stations of the Cross
In this traditional take, the faithful follow the 14 Stations around the Church, stopping at each artistic representation for a brief meditative prayer.
"Voice" Stations of the Cross
In this beautiful devotional, we follow ourselves along the same path as the Traditional, but instead of the meditative prayers, we are given a glimpse inside the minds of those present for Christ's Via Dolorosa. We hear the thoughts of Simon the Cyrene upon being plucked from the crowd to help Jesus carry His Cross. We feel the humility and sadness of St. Veronica as she wipes Our Lord's Face. We tremble at the audacity of the soldiers - some uncaring, others confused - as they kick, pull and drag Jesus towards His Crucifixion.
Mary's Way of the Cross
Walk with Our Lady and offer your heart as solace during her most sorrowful hours. Be with her as she unites her unfathomable sacrifice to that of Her Most Precious Son. Hear her prayers of supplication, relive her most tender memories of Jesus, and open your soul to the flood of graces she so graciously longs to pass along. This Way of the Cross follows Our Lady as she, too, stumbles up the path towards Calvary, ever following the perfect example of Christ, Her Son and Savior.
Everyone's Way of the Cross
In this interactive variation, Jesus speaks to each of us as He explains what each Station represents for us. We, in turn, offer prayers and thanksgiving for His thoughtful, loving Passion in a profound and meditative way. This Way of the Cross truly challenges us to view Christ's Passion as a ransom for our own, individual souls. He comes to us in a very individual way, kindling that gentle flame of love ever greater with each subsequent station.
Living Stations
Parishioners have volunteered to re-enact the various stations through costume and speech. Another more traditional take on the Way of the Cross, this one seeks to bring the past alive so we can gain a small glimpse of what that Good Friday must have been like for not only Our Lord, but everyone present in Jerusalem that day.
