The purpose of the Liturgical Committee is to enhance and support community prayer, and worship in order to encourage the Parish to grow in faith. Guided by the liturgical documents of the Church and approved Diocesan guidelines, the Liturgy Committee coordinates the liturgical life of the parish under the guidance of the Pastor. Good communication between the committee and pastoral council is essential, as is working with the Pastor and all others concerned to ensure a smooth liturgical celebration.
The committee meets monthly to plan and implement coming liturgical seasons and the celebration of the sacraments.
St. Joachim Parish offers many opportunities for our parishioners to become more involved in our beautiful celebration of the Mass. We encourage all members of our parish to prayerfully consider offering their special talents and time to serving in one of our weekly Masses.
We offer the following Liturgical Ministries for parishioners to become more involved in the Mass, and provide necessary training as well: Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Music, Greeters, Ushers, Sacristan and Mass Coordinators.
